A note from John
When my brother died, grief nearly swallowed me whole. I was eight years into leading a church, surrounded by community, and I still felt disoriented by the pain.
The birth of my daughter sparked hope. Then stories grew it. I heard from people who'd walked through loss and found a way forward. Not past their grief, but with it.
That's when I started asking a simple question: What if people had a safe, beautiful, and communal space to linger with their grief, without being consumed by it?
Since 2023, We Go On has gathered communities around that question. We’ve woven story, art, music, and laughter into events that have contributed to the restoration of hurting people.
Everyone suffers loss. But nobody should be expected to "get over it." We're here to help people move forward. Not by leaving grief behind, but by finding they were never meant to carry it alone.
